Bill Lynch is an award-winning author and columnist. He is the former editor of Sonoma Magazine and The Sonoma Index-Tribune, and a recipient of the James Madison Investigative Journalism Award from Society of Professional Journalists and the Lincoln Steffens Investigative Journalism Award from Sonoma County Press Club.
His columns are currently published in The Sonoma Index-Tribune and on Sonomanews.com. He is the author of two books on the history of Sonoma Valley, and two novels, including Mekong Belle - Love’s Impossible Choice, was released in November 2023.
A graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, Lynch served in Vietnam as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife, Dottie, live in Sonoma, CA.
